Daily Things

LIGOTA

If you are coming to Katowice as a student probably you will stay at Katowice Ligota. Don't worry i know it sounds out of city when you hear Katowice Ligota but it is only 7 minutes by train :) and only two minutes distance of dormitory and train station of Ligota. Also there is supermarket left side of train station, you can find most of things what do you need in a day, which name is Biedronka.
About to dorm there is 2 buildings which is you see for erasmus students, behind to it there is another blok, which is staying Polish students. i mean if you want to have fun during erasmus and if you want to international environment during your erasmus you should not think about rent a flat. Stay at dorm, get more friendship ;)

KATOWICE CITY CENTER

Second part of these photos, i would like to share some part of city center with you. when you get out to main train station it means you are close to everywhere :) you can go every where by walk or you can took tram or bus as you want. after 2 or 3 minutes later you will see to Rynek which mean is Main Square of city in Polish. Every city has rynek at Poland you will see :) but in here different from the others because normaly all Polish cities have old buildings at there but in Katowice totally different there is only 2 or maximum 3 old buildings not more then but do not understand Katowice has not any history, of course has. the old buildings are different places of city. About to Rynek there is available for activities or festivals.
Mariacka Street is pub street espically for students. you can meet with your friends and taste Polish and Czech beers also wodka :) i mean if you are not like always party you can go this street and get good conversations.

Krakow Trip

Krakow trip one of the best times in Poland. It was our first trip with whole erasmus students. First i thought it will be boring with all those people because i always thought crowded bring troubles. But it was complately opposite of my thoughts. Every hours of these trip was amazing. The hostel we stayed was near to the old town. That is why we went around at the first day and also the second day with ESN members and guide.
The biggest event was the Tram Party. If you ever have chance to go to Krakow, you should definetly try it and you will be shock when you see the horses in the old town. It was so different to me because i never saw big horses like them. :) I went a lot of capitals at the Europe because of being an Erasmus student but this city is really one of the best and don't forget Poland is not that far away all the good cities at Europe and easy to live. See you at the next post.

We are grateful to University of Economics in Katowice also ESN members for organised this day. After this day we got new friendship from every country thanks to them. There was president of university, manager of international office and all members of ESN Katowice. So I can say this was formal meeting.
That day every country had some presantation about own culture. some of us showed videos, some of us showed us tradational dance, some of us showed music. So it was good chance to know cultures.
What was on tables for eating every of them prepaired by our hands. I mean every student tried own best and tried to show eachother this is our tradational cook :) but i can said to you without any hesisate best table was Polish cooks. because they had own area ;)
