LIGOTA

If you are coming to Katowice as a student probably you will stay at Katowice Ligota. Don't worry i know it sounds out of city when you hear Katowice Ligota but it is only 7 minutes by train :) and only two minutes distance of dormitory and train station of Ligota. Also there is supermarket left side of train station, you can find most of things what do you need in a day, which name is Biedronka.
About to dorm there is 2 buildings which is you see for erasmus students, behind to it there is another blok, which is staying Polish students. i mean if you want to have fun during erasmus and if you want to international environment during your erasmus you should not think about rent a flat. Stay at dorm, get more friendship ;)

KATOWICE CITY CENTER

Second part of these photos, i would like to share some part of city center with you. when you get out to main train station it means you are close to everywhere :) you can go every where by walk or you can took tram or bus as you want. after 2 or 3 minutes later you will see to Rynek which mean is Main Square of city in Polish. Every city has rynek at Poland you will see :) but in here different from the others because normaly all Polish cities have old buildings at there but in Katowice totally different there is only 2 or maximum 3 old buildings not more then but do not understand Katowice has not any history, of course has. the old buildings are different places of city. About to Rynek there is available for activities or festivals.
Mariacka Street is pub street espically for students. you can meet with your friends and taste Polish and Czech beers also wodka :) i mean if you are not like always party you can go this street and get good conversations.
